After 15 years of official activity in the field of classical and contemporary music, in February 2018 and in its last stage performance, “Nilper Orchestra” announced the end of the activities of this orchestra as an orchestral organization, and from April 2019, by posing a fundamental question (what is performance? or why do we perform?), started designing a different structure to deal with music performance activities. A structure based on practice, experience and research; “Revelations” is the first project of Nilpar experimental orchestra in this new direction.
Nilper Orchestra is one of the most active independent orchestras in Tehran, which was established in 2013 and has been working in the field of alternative music approaches.
In its years of activity, Nilper Orchestra has always focused on the importance of performance as a way of transformation.
Nilper Orchestra has staged more than 48 concerts in Tehran in its 15 years of professional activity. So far, this orchestra has premiered 15 works, and has collaborated with soloists from Belgium, Poland, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands.
